Closet Progress

Closet_progressI didn't get a ton of work done today.  After a two hour meeting at the Arts Council today I went by the hardware for more lumber.  My dad came over around 4:30 and helped me build the short wall on the angled side.  I ordered a door today too.  (Brandon will probably notice I haven't put the header in for it yet) (minor detail I over looked as we plugged along this evening.)

Anyhow Sarah is on her way home from a long day at the office and will happy to see the progress.  Tomorrow I'm gonna wire in some lights and build that header.  Then it will be on to enclosing the stair well. Then drywall.....

Busy builder - think I'll save the rest of my shed building until August, you look like you're the man for the job! Hope you had a good time at class.

you don't have to put a traditional header there since its not load bearing. a couple of 2x4s nailed together flatways to catch the door trim is all you need. looks good.

Do you get BOB the builder in the USA. or just Handy Manny ?

I had noticed you had missed a bit but didn't like to say.

It was a dumb movie, but in Sex and the City, much is made of improved closets, men and their women.....

Right Brandon, I guess I should have said a nailer not a header. Paul we do get Bob the Builder I don't know about Handy Manny.

Scott that is a plywood floor. When we built this place originally it was just going to be a pottery shop with the upstairs finished at some time for a loft for me to live in. I had no plans of getting married at the time. So the shop was downstairs for years you know. Anyhow, we're slowly turning it into a house.

As a money saver we used stained plywood 24" squares in the kitchen. IT was hip and cool for a time but now it has seen better days. Good luck with the projects.

Hi,

Very nice post. Good content about the Closets. we can design, build, and install custom closets, garage cabinets, home offices, laundries, pantries, wardrobe mirror doors, and much more.

Thank you
Nancy.
