5 Good Hours
Monday, November 16, 2009 at 6:12PM
I had 5 hours of wet clay time in the studio today. Sometimes 5 focused hours can be more productive than 8 hrs of mucking around. I happy with what I got made. The plan is to make as much as I can today and tomorrow and then play catch up (chasing plastic).
Getting the clay prepped takes up a good amount of time. In the old days a 'ball boy' would have balled the clay and brought it to the wheel for the thrower. Of course I'm a one man operation so I don't have that luxury. Below is clay prepped for plates and mugs that I'll make in the morning.
All this is in preparation for my Holiday Sale which is the weekend after Thanksgiving and the first weekend in December. I also want to keep some pots back to put up on Etsy.

I worked as an apprentice once. I was a ball boy :) I wouldn't want one, but I learned a lot!
Nice group of pots. Glad the show went well. I'm preparing for COSP. Slate said today, "I wish Ron-o was coming." Unloaded this afternoon. Good firing. Later bro-Tom
