The Knobandall

This video shows me making a knobandall.  That's knob and all, a small jar thrown in one piece.  Body, lid, and knob.  Part 2 will show how I cut the lid and finish it off.  Enjoy.

Very nice demo vid! I *tried* making one of these at Tuscarora last summer... they called it a 'yo-yo' pot. :)

Ah, but the yo yo pot is a bit different. Also known as the hamburger pot. It has a groove in it. I will show it this week too. Thanks!!

nice knobs and all demo ron... hilarious dog drinking in the background. it sounded like he/she has a long metal collar clanging on the water bowl.

I remember watching Harry Horlock Stringer of Tagg's Yard making one of them in the early 80s. It is a lovely technique , using the air trapped inside to keep the fullness of form.
