A Couple of Bisque Pots

I unloaded a bisque this morning of platters/shallow dishes.  I was going to wait until after the glaze firing to post any images but I had to show one of these off even if it was just a bisque dish.  I am so excited about these!  Just look at all those lines.  I would have never dreamed I'd be doing deco like this.  Hopefully it will keep getting better and better, but for now I'm super proud of my pots.  I should have some glazed pics by early Friday b/c I glazed and loaded today.

Oh okay here's one more....

Golly but the decoration on these reminds me of a certain potter by the name of Hannah McAndrew. Do you know of her? :)

These are lovely, Ron! You know what I really like about the second one? The contrast in line quality between the finger swipes on the rim and the fine scraffito lines of the interior. I think that combo makes the piece really dynamic. Great stuff!

These are SO beautiful, Ron! What patience you have! I especially love those wispy lines coming out of the vines on the bottom one. Great work!

I have been scouring this book I have on Tulip Ware made by Pennsylvania-German Potters. It's got some amazing pots from 1700-1800's. I'll try and put up some images late or you can visit this link and have a look
