Bring out the Bubble Wrap
Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 10:21AM I am packing up my pots to send to the NC Crafts Gallery in Carrboro, NC . I have this big box plus another one that I have yet to start on. The kiln is cooling with the animal jars inside. I guess I'm sending about 30 pots total. Maybe 32. It should be a really nice show. I am looking forward to going down for the opening on April 9th. If you are in the area I'd love for you to be there. See the gallery's website HERE.
Karma is happy to play with almost anything. She's had this piece of firewood for 2 1/2 years. You can see she's rounded off most of the edges by now. Yes, we do buy her some nice doggie toys but this piece of wood seems to have really lasted. Maybe I should market it and start selling it at PetSmart.
Which reminds me of THIS!

:( Wes is on Spring Break that week and we will be at my mom's at the beach. Too bad, I live like 5 minutes from the gallery! You should get a nice turn out, she always does well with the art walk
Bummer. Well we'll meet face to face at some point. Spread the word for me to all your pottery friends and buyers in the area! Thanks Tracey.
Hey Ron
Do you double box? What are your tips for packing? My bigger pots I double box, and I have just started doing a single big box for my smaller pots. I hate packing!!
Connie, I double box on these big orders. I really don't know if I have any good tips. I'm not very experienced at this. I overdo it on the bubble wrap and tape and pray it all gets there intact!! I do like the bubble wrap with the big bubbles. I usually just single box small items like mugs and plates and they seem to make it. Knock on wood. I'll let you know next week how this shipment turned out. Fingers crossed.
