WOW! You've been busy! How long did it take you to make all of those bowls? I'm impressed :-D
A question for you, if you don't mind... When I took a ceramics class, we had to put all of our work in a special room which was very humid, so that our pieces dried slowly and this prevented cracks and warping. I noticed that your work is allowed to dry in the open air? I'm wondering why you don't experience cracking and warping? Sorry for the dumb question, but I'm just a clay amateur.
Wadie, I threw those plates in 45 min. It will take me about an hour to trim them all today.
I use plastic to keep pots under control. It's pretty humid here right now so I can leave them out most of the day, I covered them last night so that they would not dry too much over night. I'll flip them over on the batts and let the bottoms dry a little and then cut the feet when they are ready.
You are a super speedy potter! Thanks for the explanation on the drying. I forgot to consider the ambient weather conditions. It's drier here in California.
It is so much fun to see all the stuff you make lined up like that! I really am enjoying your video blogs! Thank you for sharing your studio with us :-D
